With a lot of Himalayan peaks in the area, it's easy to see why it's known as the land of snowy mountains. The Hampta Pass trek is one of the best treks in the area, tucked in between the Lahaul Valley and the Kullu Valley in the Spiti district. It's one of the easiest treks to hike, and you can do it at any level of experience.

What is the Hampta Pass Trek Famous For?

On the Hampta Pass trek, you will be able to see snow-covered Himalayan peaks, Chandratal Lake, along the banks of the river Ravi, through lush pastures and forests. As you cross the pass, you will see the deserts of Lahul Valley, all encircled by mountains.

The route of the Hampta Pass trek is through a small forest. As you go up the steep, vertical, and rocky paths, you will see different colors of flowers in bloom.

At each campsite during Hampta Pass trekking, you will be able to enjoy panoramic views. You will be able to witness the sunset behind the Hanuman Tibba, which can be seen from the campsite at Bhalu ka Ghera.
