Overview

Beyond Life and Death - Adi Kailash the Home of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. Adi Kailash is one of the Panch Kailash according to ancient Hindu Scriptures. Om Parvat and Adi Kailash are considered as very sacred place for yatra in Hinduism. Just a darshan of it can make your inner self enlightened and cleansed. It is believed that the cosmic energy that is prevalent here can transform a person. It is the land of tranquillity and serenity. The demon king Ravana meditated here and was blessed by Almighty Shiva with the strength of 20 arms and brains of 10 heads. According to the legends, there are only eight mountains in India, which has an impression of OM symbol. Out of these eight, only one has been discovered, which is known as Om Parvat or Adi Kailash. This magical mountain, Adi Kailash, is standing tall at an elevation of 6191m in the Dharchula district. It is quite known for its strong religious and adventure connect, also, it is believed that the mountain has a miraculous nature.

Itinerary

07:00 AM will depart from Kathgodam to Pithoragarh, on the way we will visit Kainchi Dham, Chetai Golu Devta temple and Jageshwar dham. Warm welcome in Pithoragarh hotel and overnight stay. Kainchi Dham: It’s a Hanuman temple and Ashram which is established by great Saint Sri Neem Karoli Baba ji in 1960s. Golu Devta Temple: this temple was constructed in the 12th century by a general belonging of the Chand Dynasty. Golu Devta is famously regarded as God of Justice. Jageshwar Dham: Jageshwar is a cluster of more then 100 stone temples, dedicated to Lord Shiva, which have inspired it’s popular name “Valley of Gods”. Pithoragarh: “Shor Valley” Pithoragarh is third largest city of the Kumaon region. Pithoragarh is dream destination for those looking for a trip away From the crowd. It’s door of many trekking
routes and Adi Kailash Om Parvat Yatra.

After early breakfast, drive to Dharchula from Pithoragarh. Arrival at Dharchula. On reaching Dharchula, we get Paperwork for Inner line Permit done. We need inner line permit for this day as we have almost touched International border of Nepal . Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel. Dharchula : “Dhar” means “Ridge” and “Chulha” means “A stove”. The unique geography of this place is the reason behind why we call this valley “Dharchula”, so if you see it from bird’s eye view, the town exactly looks like a Stove covered by high ridges on all four sides, divided by gushing “kali river” leaving Nepal on other side. Other than just Visiting Nepal, one could feel Dharchula in several other ways like a must visit to “RUNG” museum or tasting delicacies of dumplings. If you know how to connect to the vibration of places .Then you surely will touch the strings of historical Indo -Tibet trade and the great migration caravan could be felt in the eyes of every indigenous rung individual, the wrinkles on their brow and the primordial smile is enough to take you on the adventurous journey of silk route.

This morning after having breakfast we will Visit to Nabi, a beautiful village no less mysterious than “Pandora” of Navi’s ( ref: Avatar), The route is nothing less than a fairytale adventure full of surprising views of cliff hanging mountains, gushing river, snow clad towers of Himalayas which surely gives you a bright idea of entering shiva’s territory. En-route We will also visit beautiful villages like Malpa (desolated), Budhi, Chialekh ,Garbyang ,Gunji and Napalchu on the way to Nabi. This village is the base camp of Adi Kailash, you can feel the real experience of Himalayan culture. Overnight stay at Home Stay (Common Washroom) in Nabi Village and get ready for finger licking food. Malpa : One of the biggest tragedies of Himalayas held in Malpa in 1999. Do not forget to ask the guide or driver about this unforgettable saga of pain. Budhi : The place where altitude open itself to get you the rush of adventure and divinity of a pilgrimage. Chialekh : the paradise of Chialekh will give you the chance to play with it as the inner line permit needs
to be checked here by the Army. Garbyang : Do not forget to buy sea buckthorn vinegar from this village. Gunji : Move your eyes a little bit to see the snaking diversion towards Om Parvat and the old Kailash Mansarovar route.

Early morning visit to Om Parvat. Approx 2 Hrs by vehicle to reach Om Parvat where you can see
a “Miracle of Nature” ! Where Snow lies on the mountain in the shape of Om. After darshan
of Om Parvat, relax there with yourself, try to do meditation and feel the real blessing of Shiva. Later visit Kalapani (Subject to permission) then back to our Finding Shiva community.Evening Finding Shiva walk to Manakamana Temple and cultural program (depend on availability of artists). Overnight stay at Nabi Village.
OM PARVAT : Eight such “OM” symbols are mentioned in Skanda purana and out of which only
one is available to have darshan. Here mother nature had to justify itself by creating the divine symbol of “OM” visible to us ego derived beings on a huge mountain. We promise you will get spellbound with the very first gaze of this miracle. Just sit down and listen to the intense vibration of the sound “OM”.
Mahakali temple (Kalapani) : “Kali”- the dark feminine energy could be felt here. The temple
complex is so beautiful that it will be hard for you to leave the place. Do not forget to have
darshan of kali river’s source and Vyas Gufa.

Today we will leave early in the morning to visit the oldest abode of lord Shiva – Adi Kailash. The road to Almighty’s home could never be an easy ride. It challenges the pilgrims on every possible level till we shed every fragment of EGO to the deep valleys and flowing river. Above all you could experience the divine dance of Vyas valley with every 100 meter we gain. Moreover, It is a kind of beauty that couldn’t be explained by the greatest of the poets. Do not forget to stick your eyes to the Pandav fort at Kuti village. Post reaching Jollinkong we will visit Parvati Sarovar, 2km trek (Depend on your fitness) or a pony can be hired. Explore the inner consciousness, Energy of Lord Shiva, close your eyes and feel the vibration by bowing down to the Adi kailash mountain towering at 6310 meters above sea level. The journey could be extended to Gauri Kund right at the base of mount Adi Kailash but only if health allows as it stands at 5000 m and enough to get AMS. Post lunch, we will take permission from Lord Shiva to leave. Evening we will spend time with RUNG community which helps in understanding the lifestyle of Himalayan villages. Overnight stay at Nabi village

After morning breakfast, we will return to Dharchula. Evening free for visit to Nepal and
shopping, Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel in Dharchula.

Post breakfast, drive to Patalbhuvneshar along with panoramic view of Shivalik ranges and Himalayan villages. Visit Patalbhuvneshar cave, than check in to Resort/Hotel for overnight stay.
Patalbhuvneshar Cave : It is said that this underground limestone cave is the residence of Lord Shiva and thirty crore deities. A visit to Patalbhuvneshar cave is equal to a thousand times the visit to Kashi, Baidyanath or Kedarnath. In Skanda Purana, there is a description of receiving blessings in Manas Khand, chapter 103, Patal Bhuvneshwar

Post breakfast drive to Kathgodam railway station with unforgettable spiritual moments. Yatra ends here with Beyond Life and Death experience.

  • Once you’re able to run 5 km, increase your pace day by day.
  • Gradually increase your pace and bring it down to 5 km in less than 35 mins.
  • You must be able to run 5 km in 35 mins consistently for at least 2 weeks before the trek.
